Hansika Motwani Denies Giving Casting Couch Quote: “Stop Printing Rubbish”
South Indian actress Hansika Motwani has recently taken to social media to shut down rumors about her encounter with the casting couch. The actress has urged the media to fact-check quotes before publishing them in reports.
Misreporting Leads to Controversy
Reports had surfaced claiming that Hansika had been harassed by a Telugu actor who had asked her for a date, to which she had allegedly said, “I have taught him a good lesson, he won’t taunt me anymore.” However, the actress denied ever having made such a comment and accused media outlets of printing rubbish.
Expressing her frustration on Twitter, Hansika tweeted, “Have not given this quote ever! Stop printing rubbish!” She then followed up with another tweet, saying, “Publications urging you to cross-check before picking up random news piece! Never made this comment that’s doing the rounds. Please fact check before publishing blindly.”
Hansika’s Acting Career
Hansika started off in the entertainment industry as a child artist on TV shows. She made her breakthrough as one of the children in “Koi… Mil Gaya,” which starred Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta. The actress then went on to play lead roles in various Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada films.
Some of her notable performances include “Desamuduru,” “Bindaas,” “Kantri,” and “Aap Ka Surroor,” to name a few. Hansika has won several awards and nominations for her acting, including Filmfare Awards South and SIIMA Awards.
Hansika, who was last seen in the 2022 film “Maha,” has a packed schedule for the upcoming year. The actress also tied the knot with her fiancé, Sohail Khaturiya, last year.
It’s important to note that media outlets should take responsibility for fact-checking their reporting before publishing any news item. Inaccurate information can lead to serious consequences and damage the reputation of individuals in the entertainment industry. For Hansika, this incident was just another unnecessary controversy that could have been avoided with proper research and verification.
