Rupali Ganguly in Attendance at Anupamaa Co-Star Nitesh Pandey’s Funeral

TV actor Nitesh Pandey was found dead at a hotel in Igatpuri near Nashik, Maharashtra on Tuesday. The beloved star of shows such as Anupamaa and Pyar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyara Pyara passed away at the age of 50, leaving behind a legion of fans and heartbroken colleagues.

One of those colleagues was Rupali Ganguly, who starred alongside Pandey in Anupamaa. Ganguly paid her respects to Pandey at his funeral in Mumbai on May 25, surrounded by other mourners from the Indian film and television community.

Ganguly, who recently lost her Sarabhai vs Sarabhai co-star Vaibhavi Upadhyaya in a road accident in Himachal Pradesh, was understandably shaken by the news. In a tweet later that day, the actor expressed her grief, writing, “I am numb…Can’t believe this #NiteshPandey.”

The Indian television and film industry also paid their respects to Pandey, taking to social media to express their condolences. Kritika Kamra, Manoj Bajpayee, Rajkummar Rao, and other notable personalities remembered Pandey’s kindness, warmth, and talent.
