Sameer Wankhede Appears Before CBI for Third Day in Alleged Extortion Case Related to Aryan Khan’s Drug Case
Former NCB chief, Sameer Wankhede, appeared before the CBI in Mumbai for the third day in an alleged extortion case related to Aryan Khan’s drug case investigation. The case gained popularity as it involves superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan. However, CBI claimed that Wankhede isn’t willing to inform them about certain aspects of the case and also alleged that he leaked his conversation with Shah Rukh Khan to the media. The central agency also demanded that Wankhede be not given any shield against the arrest by the court.
Bribe Demand
Wankhede and his aides are accused of demanding a hefty bribe of Rs 25 crore from superstar Shah Rukh Khan for not implicating his son Aryan in the Cordelia cruise ‘drug bust’ case, an official said.
Next Hearing and Continuing Exemption From Arrest
The High Court directed the CBI to file its response on June 3. Wankhede’s team, on the other hand, will have till June 7 to respond. The next hearing is on June 8. Continuing the exemption from arrests, the next hearing promises to be a memorial time for the case.
