Priyanka Chopra Shares Glimpses of ‘Blood, Sweat and Tears’ Behind Citadel Role
Priyanka Chopra, who is currently receiving rave reviews for her lead role in the spy drama Citadel, recently took to Instagram to give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the effort that went into performing the dangerous stunts required of her character. In a video clip, the actor can be seen with bruises and getting medical aid, with the caption reading “Blood, sweat, and tears, literally.” Priyanka also expressed her gratefulness for the stunt coordinators who made doing her own stunts feel safe.
The Citadel series is produced by the Russo brothers and stars Richard Madden opposite Priyanka Chopra. The show’s season finale airs this week.
Behind-the-Scenes Look at Priyanka’s Stunts
The Instagram clip shared by Priyanka shows glimpses of the actor performing the risky stunts and receiving medical attention for injuries sustained during the shoot. Expressing her gratitude for her team, Priyanka thanked her stunt coordinators, Don Thai, JyoU10, and Nikki Powell, for making her feel safe during the stunts.
Priyanka also thanked her amazing stunt double, @neeshnation, who did all the “tough stuff” on her behalf. She added that there was “nothing easy” about performing the stunts herself, but the support of her team made it all possible.
Priyanka’s Experience with a “Dehumanizing” Director
In a recent interview with The Zoe Report, Priyanka also spoke about a “dehumanizing” experience she had on a film set in the early 2000s. She revealed that a director had asked to see her in her underwear for a scene, even though she wanted to layer up. The incident left her feeling like her art and contribution were not important, and she eventually quit the film.

Priyanka Chopra will soon be seen in the upcoming movie Heads of State, alongside Idris Elba, and will also be returning to Bollywood with Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa.
